ABOUT ME

My name is Brian Padden, I am a qualified male private counsellor working in Bradford, West Yorkshire. I offer mental health support and therapy for adults, adolescents young people and children.

​

I have helped previous clients deal with bereavement, depression, anxety, relationship break-ups, work pressure, self-confidence issues and more. I am ready to help you.

​

My background is in sports coaching which led to working in local schools, initially teaching and coaching sport before focusing on mentoring and supporting emotional and mental health.

​

I have twenty years' experience of working with children, young people and adolescents in-school therapy.

​

I have worked supporting adults mental health and believe that everyone, given the correct support, can find inner peace and improve their mental health.

​

EXPERIENCE

I have been awarded several local, regional and national awards for mentoring.

​

I have supported children's mental health from Year 1 to sixth form over a twenty years career.

​

I have a Master's Degree in Health Mentoring from Newman University, researching how to support children's mental health within school counselling.

​

I have an extensive knowledge of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES). My company, ACE Training, still offers training to professionals working with children who are the victims of abuse and trauma. 

​

We train Social Workers, teachers, pastoral staff, sports coaches, children-in-care professionals in reversing the affects of Adverse Childhood Experiences.

​

More recently, I have four year's experience as a Mental Health Lead at a large secondary school. Counselling students in groups and 1-1 sessions as well as referring to specialist mental health provisions.

​

Trustee of a Adult's mental health support charity, supporting men and women through peers suppor groups.

​

I have worked within several local Bradford counselling agencies, supporting a range of adult mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety and bereavement.
